Eren Deran
Registered Social Worker
Counsellor
Hello and welcome! This is Eren.
I am a passionate and dedicated Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist.
In 2019, I immigrated to Canada from Turkey and I have been working as a registered social worker, psychotherapist in Canada since then.

Education has been the cornerstone of my professional growth, and I hold both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Social Work.
As a social worker and therapist, my primary goal is to create a safe and non-judgmental space for my clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and challenges. I firmly believe that each individual's story is unique, and I am committed to tailoring my therapeutic approach to meet their specific needs.

Specializing in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) skills, I embrace a holistic approach to mental health. These evidence-based modalities empower individuals to develop essential coping strategies, enhance emotional regulation, and cultivate healthier thought patterns.
Having experienced the process of immigration myself, I possess a deep understanding of the unique stressors and challenges that newcomers may face in adapting to a new country. My culturally sensitive approach allows me to connect with diverse individuals from various backgrounds, making them feel heard, understood, and supported throughout their therapeutic journey.

I am deeply committed to professional growth, and as a result, I continuously engage in ongoing training and stay updated with the latest advancements in the field of psychotherapy. Rest assured, my practice is rooted in ethical principles, and I am a registered member of Canadian Association of Social Workers and Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.

Whether you are seeking support for anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or any other mental health concern, I am here to help you build a path towards a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

Please feel free to reach out, and I look forward to connecting with you soon.
My Work
I am working primarily with youth (16-29), 2SLGBTQ+ individuals, newcomers and motor vehicle accident clients. I have expertise in needs assessment, service planning, group or individual counselling sessions, service coordination, referring to community resources and case management.
I am passionate about building trust and rapport. I am using an anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, non-judgmental, client-centered approach with warm interpersonal skills.
If you plan to use your work benefits, we can provide you with the invoice of the session and you can claim the amount from your insurance company.
